Team Moop was founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, initially competing in Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC). However, the lure of iRacing soon proved irresistible, and the team transitioned to the premier sim racing platform.
Established by Guy Robertson, Team Moop sought a highly competitive league featuring skilled drivers and a well-balanced field. In 2023, the team joined Radical Sim Racing, drawn by its structured PRO and AM categories that provided an ideal racing environment.
A key part of Team Moop’s growth came from the bond formed between Guy Robertson and Damian Gee.
First meeting in another league, the two quickly connected with other iRacing friends, regularly racing together and building a strong camaraderie both on track and in Discord. While not the outright fastest on the grid, their consistency and fair racing approach have been key strengths, leading both to qualify for the World Finals in the past two years.
Team Moop is more than just a race team – it is a community. Bringing together gamers from all backgrounds, the team’s ethos is centered around enjoyment, being yourself, and above all, having fun.
