Radical Racing Challenge: Vote for the Schedule of Season 2023-4

The iRacing Radical Community is asked to make their vote for the tracks of Season 2023-4. Find all the Info and link to the vote here.

The discussion on the schedule in Discord has led to an extended track list for the vote and shown some interesting and differing perspectives on track selection. Based on that input we have adjusted the framework for the creation of the schedule.

General Framework

In principal the schedule of each season will be based on a set of predetermined tracks and a vote in three categories. At least for now we will not predetermine any rotation in track selection – it’s up to you if you want to give your vote to the tracks that are already part of the current schedule again.

Categories

(1) Predetermined Tracks (two to four tracks)

We want to mirror events of real life Radical Cups in the Radical Racing Challenge. This will make us end up with 2 to 4 predetermined tracks each season, which will not be up for a vote (but open for discussion in Discord).
The tracks we might see on the Schedule as predetermined tracks:

  • Barber Motorsports Park
  • Brands Hatch
  • Canadian Tire Motorsports Park
  • Circuit of the Americas
  • Donington
  • Laguna Seca
  • Magny Cours
  • Mount Panorama Circuit (Bathurst)
  • Oulton Park
  • Phillip Island
  • Road America
  • Silverstone
  • Snetterton

In addition Nordschleife will be on the schedule each season for Round 12 (except for seasons where week 12 can mirror a real life Radical event).

(2) General Paid Tracks (about six tracks)

This category refers to paid tracks that have already been on the schedule in the past. Your vote will decide which 6 of these tracks will be part of the schedule.

(3) Free Tracks (two tracks)

You will have the chance to vote for 2 free tracks each season. Not all free tracks on iRacing will be part of this category, but a short list of tracks which had been discussed in Discord.

(3) New Paid Tracks (one track)

Each season you will be able to vote for the introduction of one new (never raced before) paid track to the schedule. To make a purchase worthwhile, a track that joins the schedule as “New Paid Track” will be on the Schedule for a couple of seasons (the number of seasons is part of the current vote).

Why do I have to register on this website to make my vote?

Based on experience in the past, there are not thousands of people 😉 taking part in the vote. Making the vote somewhat prone to manipulation by voting multiple times. To make sure everyone has 1 vote for track selection, we ask you to register on our website to be able to vote.
