The remaining calendar presents a mixed bag of circuits that could shake up the established order. Fuji offers technical challenges that reward precision, while Hockenheim might favor different driving styles. Imola is notoriously demanding and could catch out unwary drivers, and Zandvoort presents a flowing layout for the season finale.
Plus, these tracks haven’t appeared frequently in recent seasons, which could create opportunities for drivers to gain unexpected advantages through superior preparation or track-specific pace.
PRO Class: Lipp vs Tveraen – A Tight Title Fight
Christoph Lipp (INERT eRacing Team 2) leads the PRO championship with 402 points, but Christopher Tveraen (IGL Coatings) is well within striking distance at 375 points. That 27-point gap represents roughly the difference between winning a race and finishing fourth – meaning one poor result for Lipp or one strong performance from Tveraen could already reshape the title fight.
Both drivers have shown strong consistency through six races, with Lipp managing to stay ahead. Behind them, Håvard Gulliksen (IGL Coatings Performance) sits third with 352 points, while James Barry (INERT eRacing Team 1) holds fourth at 339 points.
World Finals Qualification Battle
The fight for direct World Finals qualification tells its own story. While the top six, including Sebastian Lipp and Kjetil Larsen appear relatively secure, Óscar Soltero (NIX eSports) occupies the crucial seventh position with 289 points. Andreas Friedrich (INERT eRacing Team 1) is just 14 points behind at 275, making this one of the battles to have an eye on for the final rounds.
Positions 8-14 will qualify for the Special Qualifying Event, where they’ll compete for the remaining World Finals spots. Currently, this group includes Mats Gjestrumbakken, Sauli Raittinen, Kim Andre Bjørklund, Lasse Soerensen, Rudolf Nagel, and Jorge Gonzaga – all drivers with the potential to become podium finishers in the second half of the season.
AM Class: Four-Way Championship Fight
The AM class presents an even tighter championship battle. Luke Crowley (B Team Racing) leads with 189 points, but Louis Greig (No Limits Simracing Academy) is just 19 points behind at 170. Erik Bentsen (Team SloWmo, 167 points) and Gabriel Berger (Project 91 Academy, 165 points) are both in striking distance, creating a genuine four driver title fight.
The World Finals qualification picture is equally competitive. While the current top four seem set for direct qualification, the battle for positions 5-7 remains wide open. Ole Gunnar Stensrud holds sixth with 102 points, Robert Walker sits seventh with 92 points, and Menno de Graaf in eighth just five points back at 87 – close enough to take hold of a direct qualification spot with one strong result.
Team Championships and Strategic Considerations
The PRO class team standings currently show INERT teams occupying multiple top positions. Next to their great performance this season it does look like their fiercest competitor IGL Coatings has taken itself out of of the battle when they have split their strongest performing drivers across team configurations.
In AM class, B Team Racing leads the team championship with 333 points, followed by Team SloWmo at 297 points. Project 91 Academy sits third with 224 points, though they’ll be hoping Gabriel Berger can convert his individual championship fight into team success.
Ready to Return
Six races have set up compelling battles across both classes. The championship fights remain genuinely open, World Finals qualification battles are intense, and the upcoming tracks could provide memorable surprises.
Anyway, the summer break is over. Time to get back to racing.
